The PSI of a pressure washer is one of the first things to check when you’re buying one. And the PSI you opt for would entirely depend on what you intend to clean with the pressure washer. AmazonBasics Microwave Oven

Some electrical appliances have become an essential part of a kitchen today, and a microwave oven is among them, especially in the cities where life moves at a breakneck speed. From baking cakes to defrosting meat, microwave ovens help us in several kitchen tasks.

And when it comes choosing, a buying guide for microwave oven is always handy. Let’s explore the critical factors to consider before you decide on a microwave oven.

1. Where will you set it up?

The first thing to consider while buying a microwave is where you are going to place the appliance. The choice will affect the size, features and price.

There are three options – countertop, over-the-range and built-in.

Countertop:

  • It is the most common model and generally costs less
  • All you need to do is find a spot on the kitchen counter, place it and plug it in
  • But you must keep the size also under consideration
  • Dimensions: Compact models are 10x18x14 inches

                    Large models are 14x24x20 inches

Over-the-range:

  • These models will save you counter space
  • The models have vent systems that take up the space of the oven hood
  • Dimensions: 16x30x15 inches

Built-in:

  • These models are surrounded by the kitchen cabinetry or are built into a wall
  • They have a sleek and integrated look and are the most high-end
  • They are quite expensive
  • Dimension: 15x30x26 inches

2. What type?

There are three types of microwave ovens – solo, grill and convection.

Solo microwave ovens:

  • Are the most basic and entry-level options
  • Also the cheapest models available in the market
  • Only one magnetron produces the microwaves

Grill microwave ovens:

  • Comes with additional grilling accessories
  • Has heating coils which help in grilling, toasting and roasting
  • Grill functions can run simultaneously

Convection microwave oven:

  • Comes with a fan which circulates heat waves efficiently to ensure that food is cooked/baked faster and uniformly

3. Size:

  • Now its time to decide on the size
  • The size ranges from 10x18x14 inches to 14x24x20 inches
  • Check whether the model fits the space by measuring the sides of the microwave oven

4. Capacity:

The capacity of a  microwave oven depends on the size of your family. The general break up according to size is:

  • A family of 2-3 people: 15-20 litres
  • A family of 3-5 people: 25-30 litres
  • A family of more than 5 people: 30 litres

5. Wattage:

  • This determines how fast the food will be cooked in the oven
  • Higher the wattage, more quickly the oven will prepare the food
  • Large capacity ovens usually come with higher wattage
  • Most models come with 600-1200 watts power
  • So, prize and size have a direct bearing on the power

6. Easy use:

  • This largely depends on the type of panel a microwave oven has.
  • There are three types of panels – Mechanical, Feather Touch and Tactile Buttons.

Mechanical:

Are easy to use and have a long life

Feather Touch:

  • Comes with a touchscreen panel and have a stylish design
  • They are also easy to clean

Tactile Buttons:

  • Has jog-wheel controls
  • Setting timer and temperature is easy

7. Features to look for:

Most microwaves share common functions, but here are some of the essential features:

Defrost:

  • Mainly used to unfreeze food quickly
  • Just keep the food inside, and the oven will set the best mode
  • The settings can also be changed manually

Chaos defrost:

  • To reduce defrosting time, this feature uses random pulses of microwave energy

Timer:

  • Set the timer so that the heating/cooking/baking job ends automatically at the set time
  • Usually, a beep sound indicates the end of the process

Pre-heat:

  • This is done usually before baking cakes, cookies and other food items that require the grill function
  • The oven is kept at a set temperature before beginning the baking or grilling process

Auto-cook:

  • Just select the dish and the weight, and the oven will automatically set the power and timer
  • This simplifies the process of preparing a variety of dishes, e.g. popcorn

Multiple-sequence cooking:

  • Changes power levels automatically to ensure that the food is cooked perfectly
  • E.g. this feature helps you first to defrost and then cook automatically and continuously

Two-level cooking:

  • Some models can cook two dishes simultaneously using the two-level convection

Auto-sensor:

  • Ovens shutdown automatically when the sensor feels the food is cooked
  • This prevents overheating

Delay start:

  • Switches on the microwave oven automatically at a set time of the day

Rotisserie:

  • Is useful for grilling and barbecue
  • It is a type of a grilling accessory

Child lock:

  • This is a safety feature and is handy if you have kids at home

Turntable:

  • Imagine stopping the microwave and turning your dish around for uniform cooking
  • A turntable saves you the headache by automatically turning the bowl while cooking

Defrosting rack:

  • Raises the food above the turntable so that its defrosted from below as well

Metal rack:

  • A metal rack will elevate the food
  • This ensures that the food is evenly warm
  • Otherwise, only the top layer of the food gets heated up

Flatbed:

  • Some models have flatbeds instead of a turntable to create a larger cooking area

Broil:

  • This is a great feature to finish cooking a dish with more direct heat

Inverter Technology:

  • This feature is usually available with high-end models
  • Microwaves mostly switch from 0% power to 100% power to average in at 50% power
  • This doesn’t work if you want to cook something at lower heat and evenly
  • So, some models use inverter technology to maintain a consistent 50% power

Drop-down door:

  • Very handy while putting and taking out dishes
  • You can place your hot meals on the door
  • Very useful in built-in models

Energy efficiency:

  • Check for models with an energy-save mode to reduce the amount of energy consumed by the device even when on standby

Other high-end features:

  • You could also check for moisture sensors to detect how thoroughly the food is cooked, usually meat
  • Check for LED lights in the interior
  • Some over-the-top models can be connected to Bluetooth
  • There are several smart models which use facial recognition technology to identify food and cook it automatically
  • Some smart microwave ovens scan packaged meals for automatic cooking

What’s the budget:

  • Set a budget, check the various models for the features and your requirements

Good deals:

  • Check for good deals online or at retail outlets
  • During the festival season, most retailers and e-tailers dole out attractive deals

Warranty:

  • Most models come with a guarantee, but the period may vary
  • Check for what components are covered or is warranty available only for manufacturing defects

Review and compare:

  • And do not forget to read reviews and compare the models
  • E-tailer websites offer reviews for most products, and you can also compare them

With so much to choose from, this buying guide should help you narrow in on the one model that meets your requirements.

Once you have a list of your preferred service providers, you can choose around 5, check their credentials. You don’t want to deal with dubious limo service companies.

Check the duration they have been in business and if they have liability insurance. Their drivers should be professionally trained.

What are the other customers saying about the limo services? Check reviews and comments online to see whether other customers were satisfied with the services.

4. Check the Pricing

Do you want a package deal? Most limo companies have package deals based on the event, such as the New Year’s Eve package.

Check carefully what is in the package and determine its value based on the price. In some cases, it is better not to take the package if you feel it is more expensive than its worth.

For instance, you may find it cost-effective to bring your drinks instead of using the package deal.

Most importantly, know what is included in the price. Does it include mileage, drivers tip, beverages, and ice or will you be charged extra?

You don’t want to be surprised with a huge bill at the end so remember to ask what the Price 4 Limo includes.

Are you required to pay a deposit upfront and how much? Avoid limo services asking for more than 50% deposit. Find out how you will make the rest of the payment.

5. Choose the Vehicle

Make sure you view the vehicle before the D-day. Is it the color, model and size you requested? Does it have regular inspections?

You can note the license plate of the vehicle just to make sure you get the right one on New Year’s Eve.

OLeads - Build Websites in Minutes

The new online lead generation platform integrates seamlessly into Opera’s scalable advertising ecosystem in Nigeria.

Lagos, Nigeria, 28 of October 2019 – Opera Limited (Nasdaq: OPRA), one of the world’s major browser developers and leader in AI-driven digital content, has announced the launch of OLeads — a new online lead generation platform for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

OLeads offers a unique tools to maximise SMEs’ visibility and online presence, increasing awareness about their business, and helping ramp up sales.

Today, SMEs are the backbone of the Nigerian economy. According to the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), there are more than 40 million SMEs in Nigeria.

However, one of their major challenges is to leverage rapid digital transformation as a means to scale their business since SME operations today are mainly offline.

Half of the Nigerian population is already connected to the internet, however, with further adoption expected. With the release of OLeads in Nigeria, Opera is taking the next leap forward in its strategy to transform Nigeria’s digital advertising ecosystem by removing barriers for these local businesses to come online and connect with the fast growing internet population in the country.

“Nigeria is undergoing a rapid digitalization with already more than 110 million people onboarded to the internet, and its estimated to grow to 188 million within the next four years,” said Per Wetterdal, VP of Global Business Development at Opera. “With OLeads, we are enabling millions of businesses to participate in this digital transformation, providing them a platform with user friendly tools and a fast and easy way to come online, reaching Opera’s massive user base.”

With OLeads, SMEs in Nigeria can easily create their first mobile websites and landing pages for their marketing campaigns.

OLeads integrates seamlessly into the contextual advertising platform, Opera Ads, with direct access to Opera’s huge user base in Nigeria.

With the user-friendly interface of OLeads, any SME or business owner can create a mobile website from scratch in less than five minutes. The platform does not require any programming or design skills.

Once an SME registers on the OLeads website, they will be able to choose between a wide variety of website templates that they can personalize according to the needs and goals of their business.

By dragging and dropping text, images and call-to-action modules, the SME can have their business landing page up and running in minutes. The platform will also allow business owners to manage the data generated from their website.

More than 3000 businesses already on board for OLeads

Since its soft launch in Nigeria in September 2019, OLeads has already onboarded more than 3000 businesses to the platform in just one month.

With this milestone, OLeads is gaining a strong position in the Nigerian advertising market as a trustworthy platform that has rapidly grown its user base in a short period of time.

“With the launch of OLeads, we are now helping more Nigerian businesses find their target audiences online,” said Wetterdal. “We have received very positive feedback from the SMEs we have on-boarded during the soft launch of the platform, and we are excited to now offer this service to millions of businesses in the country.”

Google Pixel 4 XL

Having witnessed a lot of smartphone release in 2019, It is expected that the Google Pixel 4 would defeat all odds, housing specs that makes other smartphones a bit less worthy to look upon. How well does it fare in this task? Answers would be treated in this article on Google Pixel 4 specs and price.

Google Pixel 4 Key Specs & Features

  • 5.4-inch, P-OLED Display, 1080 x 2280 pixels (444 ppi)
  • Android 10
  • 6GB RAM
  • Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855

  • 12MP + 16MP Dual Rear Camera and 8MP Front Camera
  • 4G LTE
  • Water and Dust Proof (IP68 certification)
  • 2,800mAh non-removable Li-ion battery

Google Pixel 4

The Design and Display

compare the Google Pixel 4 to the Google Pixel 3 and you discover a lot has changed. It features a complete chassis redesign.

The smartphone build comprises of metal and glass. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back, and a metal frame holding the glasses in place.

The rear of the handset is home to a squared of camera bump that seems to be a reminiscence of what we had on the iPhone 11. The only difference here is that the cameras are a bit more flushed and less bumpy.

This squared off-camera bump holds two cameras, a camera flash. Apart from this square camera bump, the only thing you will find on the rear of phone, is a big “G”, which indicates Google.

Turn the Google Pixel 4 we have a controversial look, instead of ditching big bezels for good, Google brings back huge bezels. The Android phone has a big bezel on the top and very small bezels on the bottom.

There is a reason Google Pixel 4 has a big forehead. Google has packed in an array of sensors that help in swift facial recognition.

Sensors featured here include an infrared projector, an infrared receiver, and a radar. The Selfie camera is also housed in this big forehead.

The Google Pixel 4 has a 90Hz Display

In between the forehead and the chin, is a 5.4-inch P-OLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 and also a screen density of 444 ppi.

This display is a 90Hz display, yes you read it right, Google finally featured 90Hz display on their smartphone.

Just like other smartphones, this display occasionally dips to 60Hz to save battery. You would have to enable force 90Hz display in developer options to keep the 90Hz refresh rate constant.

The Google Pixel 4 packs in very color design, that is certainly going to appeal to a lot of enthusiasts. All variants except for the Just black color variant feature a color mix.

The Oh So orange variant has a mixture of orange and black, while the clearly white has a mixture of white and black.

The Cameras

Without a doubt, the most anticipated upgrade in every Google Pixel smartphone is its cameras. This is due to the fact that over the years Google has made a name for its self in smartphone photography. Google Pixel phones are known to be one of the most capable smartphones for photography.

The Pixel 4 is Google’s first smartphone with a dual-camera setup. According to Google, Having a telephoto camera is better than having a wide-angle camera.

This has prompted them to feature a secondary camera with a telephoto lens, instead of a wide-angle camera.

This dual-camera system on the rear is home to a 12MP primary camera with an aperture of F/1.7 and a 16MP telephoto camera with an aperture of F/2.4.

This rear camera setup lets you take photos in HDR and panorama. For videos, the Google Pixel 4 lets you shoot 2160p videos at 30fps, 1080p videos at 30,60 and 120fps. As expected videos shot with this smartphone are electronically stabilized.

Upfront, the smartphone features an 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of F/2.0. This selfie camera lets you take photos in HDR and also shoot 1080p videos with frame rate maxed at 30fps.

Hardware and Software

The hardware specs on the Google Pixel 4 is pretty much a replica of what you would get on any flagship. although there are some shortcomings here that many enthusiasts may frown out.

For starters, instead of featuring the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, the cell phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Performance-wise it may not be much of a big deal, but considering the prestige it holds, one would expect the best of the best stuff.

Google has finally listened to critics, they have finally upgraded the RAM featured on Google Pixel smartphones. Instead of featuring 4GB of RAM like it’s predecessors did, the Pixel 4 features 6GB of RAM.

Google Pixel 4 has 64GB and 128GB storage variants. Please note that there is no room for storage expansion as the mobile phone doesn’t have a micro-SD slot.

Another controversial feature of the Google Pixel 4, is its battery. It’s 2019 and the smartphone features a 2800mmAh battery. A smartphone with power-hungry specs should be paired with large batteries for sustainability.

This 2800mAh battery is a Non-removable Li-Po battery. It supports 18W fast charge and also has support for wireless charging.

Being a Google phone that it is, you probably expect to get stock Android on top of the latest Android operating system. It provides just that. Google Pixel 4 runs stock Android interface on top of Android 10.

Connectivity

Seems the 3.5mm headphone jack we use to have on Google pixel phones is gone forever and it’s not coming back. Just like it’s predecessor, Google Pixel 4 doesn’t have a headphone jack instead it makes use USB-C headphones.

The Google Pixel 4 features a USB Type C (3.1) port, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC ( Near field connection).

The only support Nigerian LTE band is the band 7, this means Nigerians will only be able to use MTN 4G sim on the Google Pixel 4. However, LTE bands supported on the Google Pixel 4 includes: 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 17, 25, 26, 30, 38, 41, 48, 66, 71.

Google Pixel 4 Price and Availability

Google Pixel 4 Price in Nigeria starts at around 288,000 Naira. The official launch price of the Google Pixel 4 was $799 for the 64GB variant and $899 (324,988 Naira) for 128GB of storage.

Infinix Hot 8 Lite

The Design and Display

Infinx Hot 8 has a design very similar to what we had on the Infinix Hot  S4. The design on the Infinix Hot 8 Lite is sort of an upgrade of what we had on the Infinix Hot S4. It is a low-cost phone with a very beautiful design.

Similar to its predecessor the Infinix Hot 7 and also the Infinix HOT S4, the Infinix Hot 8 Lite was built with plastic. There is glass up front, plastic on the frame and plastic covering on the rear, that has a gradient look.

The rear of the smartphone is home to a  Triple camera system, a camera flash, a fingerprint sensor, Infinix, and Hot branding.

Upfront on the Infinix Hot 8 Lite, there is a notched 6.52 inch IPS LCD display, with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 and a screen density of 269 PPI. Comparing the bezels here with that of the Infinix Hot 7  and the Infinix Hot S4, there is a substantial decrease in the size of the bezels.

Purchasing the Infinx Hot 8 Lite, you have the option of choosing either the Quetzal Cyan, Cosmic Purple, Shark Grey or Midnight Black color variant.

The Cameras

Compare the cameras on this device to what we had on the Infinix Hot 7 and you immediately notice a lot has changed. Infinix has stepped up the camera hardware on its Hot series smartphones.

The Infinix Hot 8 Lite features a triple-camera system, as opposed to the dual-camera system featured on the Infinix Hot 7. This increase in the number of cameras on the rear is geared towards making photos a whole lot better, leaving you with more options for taking awesome photos.

The Triple rear camera system on the Infinix Hot 8 Lite is home to a 13MP wide-angle camera with an aperture of F/1.8, a 2MP depth-sensing camera. The last camera is a QVGA camera with a low light sensor that helps in taking low light photos.

This rear camera system is equipped with quad-flash to take photos in low-light conditions brighter. This rear camera system lets users take photos in HDR as well as a panorama. Video here tops at 1080p at 30fps.

Upfront, it features an 8MP selfie camera. This camera lets you shoot with beauty mode and HDR.

Hardware and Software

The suffix ‘LITE‘ at the end of its name speaks a lot. A Lite smartphone isn’t meant to offer high performance. In most cases, Lite smartphones are lower variants of the standard model of a smartphone.

Comparing the Infinix Hot 8 Lite to other Lite smartphones released in the Hot series of the past, we quickly observe that Infinix phones have been stepped up a notch.

In the past Infinix Lite smartphones featured 1GB RAM and watered-down specs of the standard device, but things get different from the Infinix Hot 8 Lite.

It features a 12nm Octa-core Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 processor clocked at 1.8GHz.

The smartphone also features 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, with support for Micro-SD expansion up to 128GB. In this low-cost smartphone, you also get a humongous 5000MAH battery.

On the software side, the Infinix Hot 8 Lite runs the XOS 5.0 user interface on top of the Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system.

Connectivity

The Infinix Hot 8 Lite features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a version 2.0 Micro-USB port, dual-band wifi, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC (Near Field Connection).

The Infinix Hot 8 Lite is a 4G enabled device. it has support for Airtel, MTN and 9Mobile 4G network. Please note that you won’t be able to use Glo 4G SIM on this device, as it doesn’t support Band 28.

Why you Should Consider Buying a Used Truck

Buying a Used Truck

Other than buying your home, your truck might be the most expensive purchase that you will ever have to make. Shopping around for a new truck can be an interesting task until you see the price tag.

Even though you may be able to afford the initial cost, any additional features or gadgets can escalate the cost very quickly. Your new truck will also start depreciating the minute the tires hit the road for the first time.

This is why you should consider buying a used truck. These used trucks for sale in Montgomery al are in perfect condition and you will meet an expert technician who will address all your questions and concerns in the most friendly way.

Here are a few reasons why you should consider getting yourself a used truck.

1. A Used Truck Is Cheaper

Trucks are expensive. Once you decide to start shopping around for a new truck, you may be surprised to find out just how expensive a brand new model can be.

Thanks to depreciation, a used truck can be significantly cheaper than the new version, especially if you get one that is at least 10 years old or more. Just make sure that you check for wear and tear and also ask what the truck was used for before the resell.

You will also want to determine if the truck was in an auto accident at some point as this can impact the truck over time as well. You can obtain a report called a “Car Fax” that will indicate how many accidents the vehicle has been involved in.

2. You, Will, Have More Choices When You Shop

When buying a used truck, you will enjoy a variety of prices and models that are available for you. Every year, Chevrolet releases new trucks but they can be limited to just a few models.

However, when you shop for a used Chevrolet truck you will be spoilt for use since you will have a wide variety to choose from that meets your budget and your needs.

3. To Avoid the Initial Depreciation

Apart from getting a great truck at a cheaper price buying a used truck will also enable you to avoid the initial depreciation that a new truck goes through once it has been sold.

Even though depreciation happens to every vehicle whether new or old, with a brand new track the depreciation is going to hit you harder compared to buying a used truck.

If you wait a few years and buy the same truck when it has been used, you will be able to avoid the initial hit that the first owner took when he bought it.

4. You, Will, Know What to Expect From the Model

One great reason why you should consider buying a used truck is that you will learn the best and the worst about the vehicle even before you buy it.

This is because; apart from the marketing information that is provided by the marketers and the dealers, you will also get first-hand information from previous users who have driven this truck for years.

You can also get useful information from online forums and customer reviews on truck blogs and this can help you make the best buying decision.

 5. It’s Easier To Modify A Used Truck

When you purchase a new truck, you can spend days just admiring the polished paint job and enjoying that new car smell. This can make you very hesitant to make any modifications since you don’t want to damage anything.

A brand new truck also comes with a manufacturer’s warranty which can be voided the minute you make adjustments.  When you buy a used truck that the manufacturer’s warranty has expired it is easier to make modifications without worrying about voiding the manufacturer’s warranty or changing the appearance of the truck.

Essential Things to Know About the Future of Autonomous Cars in Dubai

The Future of Autonomous Cars in Dubai

There is no denying that the era of autonomy is nearly here.

For many individuals around the world, it isn’t too difficult to imagine fleets of autonomous vehicles navigating city streets while transporting goods and people quickly and efficiently.

However, for this to become a reality, cities must start planning for and investing in infrastructure improvements that will work in tandem with technological innovation. This is how the operation of autonomous vehicles will grow, bringing about a genuinely autonomous future.

One of the world’s most forward-thinking cities is Dubai, so it should come as no surprise that the emirate is well on its way to realizing its plans for making autonomous vehicles.

From the overarching goals to the current works in progress, the state of the current legislation to the upcoming Dubai World Congress For Self-Driving Transport, read on for the essential things to know about the future of autonomous cars in Dubai.

1. Dubai has a Clear Goal

The Dubai Future Foundation and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have a clear goal of making 25 percent of Dubai’s total transportation utterly autonomous by 2030.

This bold objective is what sets Dubai apart from the rest of the world, and is set to transform the emirate into the leading example of utilizing artificial intelligence to improve daily life.

The aims of this approach are two-fold: decrease transportation costs and improve efficiency within the transportation sector by 2030.

It is expected that this action will cut transportation costs by 44 percent (an annual savings of AED 900 million), while also bringing yearly savings of AED 1.5 billion from the 12 percent reduction of environmental pollution.

Moreover, Dubai is also predicted to generate AED 18 billion in annual economic returns as a by-product of enhanced transportation efficiency.

But it isn’t all about money; there are several additional benefits that residents of Dubai can expect to see.

For example, a substantial reduction in traffic accidents as well as a significant decrease in the 396 million hours of travel time that are currently being spent by those living in the emirate.

There will also be a diminished demand for parking spaces which frees up space to be used for other purposes.

2. Dubai is focusing on Autonomous Public Transit

For many individuals, it is the driver-centric approach to self-driving technology that is of the most interest. However, for the city of Dubai, the focus is on a multimodal transport network that includes seven modes of public transport.

Recently, Dubai’s transport authority commenced experimenting with autonomous pods that cover short distances on dedicated lanes.

As of right now, these autonomous pods are only able to move along pre-programmed routes. However, soon, Dubai plans to have these pods be accessible to residents and be able to transport them beyond special lanes and pre-programmed routes.

Additionally, the Autonomous Transportation Strategy includes a proposal for a 700 mph “hyperloop,” a futuristic mode of transport using vacuum-sealed tubes. When completed, the hyperloop is expected to reduce travel time between the emirates dramatically.

For example, individuals would be able to move between Abu Dhabi and Dubai in only 12 minutes. This inter-emirate travel is suspected to begin production by 2021.

Last but not least, Dubai is also working on the Autonomous Air Taxi (AAT) service, which is the world’s first self-flying taxi service.

Currently, AAT is in the testing and development phase but is expected to be running within five years. This is yet another inspiring plan initiated to transform Dubai’s urban mobility landscape.

However, notable investments are going to continue to be required to guarantee that existing infrastructure works in tandem with autonomous technology.

For the city of Dubai to achieve its goals, processes and settings must be structured to facilitate automated vehicles to react to data immediately.

3. The Legislation is Still Fragmented

As the technology is still so new, currently, legislation on self-driving transport is fragmented. However, a standardized code of practice for testing and legislative initiatives must be created in order for autonomous mobility to be encouraged.

All autonomous vehicles must be examined by a thorough and efficient system to ensure that they meet safety, security, and legislative requirements.

By having a standard code of practice among global smart cities, this system will be more productive while also serving to expedite deployment.

Lawmaking initiatives have a pivotal role in ascertaining vehicle liability and traffic safety. A body of law and ethics will guarantee that standard safety-related components and elements are included to improve the safety and security of autonomous vehicles.

The goal is for a strategic alignment to happen among all local, state, and federal governing bodies. This will work to address notable gaps in policies and legislation.

4. The Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport is happening soon

In order to educate the world on autonomous vehicles, part of the Dubai Autonomous Transportation Strategy is to host the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport.

This congress seeks to bring together the world’s leading experts in the realm of self-driving transportation, as well as technology manufacturers, researchers, academics, and policymakers.

In fact, over 500 attendees are expected to attend the SD Congress, along with more than 30 international speakers and over 100 exhibitors.

Moreover, the congress is also featuring the Dubai World Challenge For Self-Driving Transport. The SD Challenge is intended to accelerate self-driving technology by providing five key objectives.

  • The advancement of self-driving technology
  • Presenting recent developments and advancements in the sector
  • Increasing knowledge to advance the goal of autonomous transportation forward
  • Inspiring public support for autonomous transportation
  • Ascertaining a platform that will ensure the continuation of technical development, public awareness, and policy development

The event will be held from October 15 to 16 at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will demonstrate the application, evaluation, and challenges encountered by the competitors.

If you are interested in learning more about the SD Congress, you may download the automotive event brochure available on the website.

What do you think about Dubai’s push towards being an autonomous-car-filled city? Do you like their strategy? Would you want it replicated in your own locale?

LCD Projector vs LED Projector

Projectors in the market come designed in different technology to offer the best of it. The LCD and LED technology used on projectors have been used for long and has created a name for itself. LCD technology has been for decades and well known by many and common to speak of it.

The technology has been used on many electronic devices, so is the LED technology. For us to have an impressive idea of what these technologies are and how they are used, it’s best if we have more detailed information.

Let’s explore both of them in detail. The Projectors Lab Also a perfect blog for projectors lover. Who are looking for projectors buying guide and reviews. Now lets talk about LCD and LED projectors.

What Is LCD?

The LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. It is a flat panel display technology that is used in computer monitors, TVs, and projectors.

The LCD id quiet different from the CRT technology and also in the way they operate. It comes with a backlight that can provide the light that is arranged in and individual rectangular grid.

The pixels are red, green, and blue RGD that can be turned off and on. The color comparison of the images displayed from the devices used on the same projector is good.

Many electronic manufacturers are going for the LCD technology to use on the devices for the incredible features it has. The projectors, for example, have excellent image quality and also have no rainbow effect on the content.

What Is LED?

The light-emitting diode is one of the technologies used on semiconductor devices that emit visible light when an electric current passes through them.

The technology has the best and long life span when used. Instead of using the bulb don projectors, the projector has arrays of green, blue, and red LEDs.

When the light is mixed, they are able to generate a tremendous accurate color of white light. The light is then reflected on a tiny array of mirrors and passed through the sandwich of the LCD layers.

When we look at this, you will find that the LED projectors are mostly the same as any other projector and the only Difference is the bulb.

The Difference between an LCD projector and a LED projector

Many projectors in the market are designed using different technologies, and each of them has various advantages and disadvantages.

To each person, a particular technology is right, while the other is not all this depends on the features and what the projector can offer. The Difference between the LED and LCD projectors is not many, but they make quite a huge difference to the users.

LCD projectors project the light into the mirrors that are then split into three colors red, green, and blue. The colors are then passed through three separate prisms and projects through the LCD panels.

The individual pixels on the projector is then opened or closed to allow the light to pass through or block it. After the colors are separated, they are then converged in another prism and projected on the screen to get images.

The LCD has got many advantages that making it stand out, with it being common among the technologies used. It produces more accurate colors since it does not have color wheels.

The images tend to be sharper and bight in LCD technology projector and more colorful. Though the LCD projectors are good, they can be a bit heavy if compared to other technologies like the DLP.

LED projector, on the other, can be defined by the lighting technology used. Most of the projectors that use LED lighting are LED projectors.

Though the projector seems different from the others, it’s the same, and the only Difference comes about with its lighting. The design and everything about the LED projector are the same as others except the bulb.

Some f the DLP projectors and Pico projectors are LED projectors. It is because they use LED technology as well when making the. The LED projector has a long lamp life than any other technology.

It will take an LED projector for more than 20 years of use before one could see another projector, while others may have to use the projector for ten years and above before they buy another.

One of the significant advantages of the LED is the fact that the diodes have a much longer life span than any of the other projectors. It has a rated life span of 10000 hours and above the others of up to 5000 hours.

The Led projectors could be said to have been designed to last an entire life while on use. The only disadvantage of the LED projectors is that they are costly when compared to the other projector.

Why Is an LCD projector so popular?

The LCD projector is so popular because it has an excellent capability to produce the best levels of the black and incredible color display. The white and color output of the light is all the same and impressive.

Both the LED and LCD projectors have flooded the market and are going at different prices to give the best.

Though Led is a bit expensive, they still have quite a number of people looking forward to it, especially when upgrading.

It could be a disappointment to the led projectors when they don’t have enough rating, but they are great.

Conclusions

The LCD technology is well known and widely used, becoming the most commonly used in the market, but so are the LED projectors. The competition between both of them is huge, and the effects are also seen.

The LCD projectors tend to be affordable, reliable, and easy to use, making it easier for first time users. For best home entertainment, they stand out significantly, especially.

When using LED, you are sure to have an entire life use for the projector unless it dies automatically. It has a very long life, unlike the LCD projectors though they too have a long life span but depending on the projector.
