Umidigi Power 5

Turns out Umidigi skipped the number 4, moving straight to the Umidigi Power 5, which succeeds the Umdigi Power 3. This move may be as associated with the fact that the “4” unlucky number in China. On the successive offerings, the Umidigi Power 5 doesn’t really leave up to expectation, more on that later in the article. The biggest selling point of this smartphone is probably the massive 6150 mah battery and a built-in infrared thermometer.

Umidigi Power 5

Design and Display

The Umidigi Power 5’s design can be seen as a revamped version of the Power 3. The elements in this design are sort of based on the architecture of its predecessor.

On the rear, we have a square camera module containing three cameras, an LED flash, and an Infrared sensor. Beneath this camera module, is a branded text that reads “Beyond Dream”, which is sort of in a similar fashion to the “Dare to leap” text on Realme phones.

Flipping the Umidigi Power 5 to get a front view, reveals a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display, with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and 20:9 aspect ratio. This display has a slightly substantial size of bezels surrounding it, which sort tasks are far from having a modern look.

There is an infrared thermometer on the back for measuring body temperature, joining the likes of Umidigi A9 Pro 2021 and Umidigi A7s to feature a contactless thermometer..

Enthusiast that desire to purchase this device will have three colour variants, which include Carbon Grey, Jade Green, and Sapphire Green.

The Cameras

The camera hardware on the Umidigi Power 5, isn’t really superior over the Umidigi Power 3, it sort of lies below.

On the rear, we have a triple camera system, featuring a 16MP ultrawide primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0 (the predecessor had a 48MP camera), a 5MP macro camera, and an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view, as opposed to the 13MP ultrawide camera on the Power 3.

Upfront, we have a single 8MP AI selfie camera, as opposed to the 16MP camera on its predecessor.

Hardware and Software

The performance makeup of the Umidigi 5 sort of falls in the same category as its predecessor, it isn’t really a boost in my opinion.

Onboard, we have an Octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, as opposed to the Helio P60 processor on its predecessor.

Also on board, is the PowerVR8320 GPU, the RAM options available include 3GB / 4GB, the storage options include 64GB / 128GB, as opposed to the single 4GB / 64GB variant on the Power 3.

We also have a non-removable 6150mAh battery, which is probably the highlight of the device paired with 10W charging, which is pretty much the same as seen on last year’s model. The battery promises up to 16 hours gaming and up to 29 hours video playback.

On the software side, the Umidigi Power 5 runs a stock Android user interface, on top of the Android 11 operating system.

Compare Prices

Connectivity

The Umidigi Power 5 features Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a type-c port.

Internet connectivity on this device is capped at 4G, which means enthusiasts won’t be able to utilize 5G internet, even in an area with 5G reception.

Umidigi Power 5 Price and Availability

The price of the Umidigi Power 5 is around $200 for the 4GB / 128GB variant, which translates to about 82,510 Naira in Nigeria, 21,580 KSH in Kenya, and 1,156 GHC in Ghana.

The Umidigi Power 5 is available for purchase at Ali Express and possibly other leading online retail stores.

3 Innovative Use Cases Of Artificial Intelligence In Manufacturing Today

Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing

Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing

What is the objective of every asset-based manufacturing company?

All factors remaining constant, all manufacturers who want to stay in business are always looking for better ways to reduce production costs and increase production efficiency in order to enjoy larger profit margins… of course at the safety of workers.

But for this dream to become a reality, company machinery, and equipment, among other key components like manpower, need to function flawlessly and at their optimum.

However, this is not always the case.

One of the main challenges manufacturers face is unplanned downtime caused by machinery. It is even estimated that this kind of downtime costs manufacturers $USD 50 billion annually.

In this article, we are going to look at the 3 uses and applications of AI in manufacturing that have been used to curb a number of challenges that manufacturing companies face, including unplanned downtime, which 42 percent of the time is the result of asset failure.

If you didn’t know it yet, AI applications have taken the manufacturing sector hostage and are now transforming every aspect of it… including replacing humans with robots.

But this wave is not only sweeping the manufacturer, check out this other article where I outlined the other top trending industries where AI is heavily in use today.

Let’s now look into the top uses and applications of AI in manufacturing in greater detail.

1. Predictive Maintenance

Regular maintenance of production machinery and equipment is actually one of the most costly expenditures for a manufacturing company.

While a company might be tempted to skimp on this expense, or at least understate its importance, the ability to maintain this equipment in a continuous and flawless operational state directly affects the bottom line of any asset-reliant production company.

That being said, any unplanned downtime could mean huge losses and other associated costs to the company.

It is even estimated that asset failure is the cause of 42% of unplanned downtime and that unplanned downtime caused by machinery failure costs manufacturers $USD 50 billion every year.

How about the ability to predict such downtimes and take the necessary measures before they actually occur?

With the advancements in artificial intelligence, it is now possible to build predictive models that can foresee and predict future asset performance and possible malfunction.

Using AI technologies like machine learning and neural networks, engineers are able to design these smart systems that take out the reactive nature of machine maintenance and replace it with a more pragmatic approach.

Predictive maintenance is now one of the most common uses and applications of AI in manufacturing since it can save a lot of time and resources.

In fact, a predictive maintenance system will soon be a requirement for any manufacturing company that needs to know when the next failure of a machine would occur.

By implementing this alone, a manufacturer can drastically cut down the relatively high costs associated with unplanned downtime while also extending the Remaining Useful Life (RUL) of production machinery and equipment.

2. Defect Detection

Defect detection, for the most part, has always been a manual process.

Most manufacturing assembly lines do not have automated systems or technologies put into place to identify defects in finished products.

In the event that a company has such a system in place, its functionality is more often than not pretty basic. A software engineer often needs to code the algorithm that is tasked with differentiating between the functional and defective components.

While this might sound like an improvement, there is a big bottleneck to this kind of approach.

These hand-coded systems can neither learn from past experiences nor integrate new pieces of information into the process to refine the effectiveness of the system.

And what’s the impact of this?

It means often these systems come up with a lot of false positives, that is to say, defects that are not actual defects. So a human worker is required to manually check and verify every false positive before making a conclusion.

Now, by incorporating artificial intelligence into the process, we can now have a smarter defect detection system that frees the human from the repetitive work of manual verification.

Machine learning and artificial intelligence are used to build these defect detection systems and power them with self-learning capabilities. This is already being seen in industries like self-driving car production.

So manufacturers can then save tons of hours required for quality control by simply reducing false positives.

3. Human-Robot Collaboration

The use of artificial intelligence in the manufacturing sector will replace humans and render them jobless…

Such jittery statements have led to pessimistic feelings among many about whether AI will do more harm than good to the general public. It has led to serious discussions around AI and Ethics. And while the first part is true, that AI will replace some manual jobs, the second part is not entirely correct.

Why?

Well, because while more jobs are being taken over by robots, workers are being trained for more advanced positions like in product design and equipment maintenance.

In most manufacturing settings, collaborative robots working alongside human workers are now being deployed as an extra set of hands. That’s why there has been an increased demand for data scientists skilled in AI applications.

Now let’s differentiate between collaborative robots and the common autonomous robots.

Autonomous robots that are programmed to perform one specific task, have existed for centuries but collaborative robots are now taking this a step further by being able to perform multiple tasks.

Cobots, which is an abbreviation for collaborative robots, can learn various tasks like detecting and avoiding obstacles. With this cognitive ability and spatial awareness, these robots can work collaboratively alongside humans.

For example, a Cobot can be put to work in an automotive factory assembly line where it lifts heavy car parts and then holds them in place as the human workers secure them.

Conclusion

Just like in the eCommerce sector, the manufacturing sector is not exempted from challenges that they often have to surmount to stay in business.

Every typical manufacturer is frequently presented with different challenges such as unexpected machinery or asset failure as well as defective product delivery…

Both of which threaten the survival of any small or big brand. News of a faulty brand can spread pretty quickly today, thanks to social media, and consumers can quickly gang up and move to a competitor in no time really.

However, by leveraging AI and machine learning technologies, manufacturers can now achieve greatness by:

  • improving operational efficiency,
  • launching new products,
  • customizing product designs and
  • planning future financial actions.

In this article, we have looked at how AI is transforming manufacturing through powerful data science tools and technologies like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.

What are some of the popular applications and uses of artificial intelligence in manufacturing that I didn’t mention in this list?

Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Web Optimization

Web Optimization

If you want your website, blog, or online store to have many visits, it must be well optimized so that it is positioned very well in search engines. So far everyone agrees.

However, getting it is not as easy as it seems and we need time, work, and a lot of desire to position our website. Only with good SEO practices will we achieve our goals, so today we will give you 10 tips on what and how to carry out organic positioning strategies and good SEO practices to optimize your website.

There is nothing that compares to the sudden update of a Google algorithm to leave marketers in confusion and concern. It is as if they wait for you to organize all the elements of your website and, once you do it, they launch an update that changes everything.

In Google, they are very transparent and they assure that they do this for the common good; after all, each modification of the algorithms brings us closer to obtaining more relevant search results. However, there are still secrets behind what exactly Google evaluates on a website and what ultimately determines which sites to show for which search queries.

We will try to be as brief as possible because what we want is for you to keep the idea of what to do with SEO to optimize your website. So, without further ado, we start with the good website optimization practices that you should follow.

10 Website Optimization Best Practices For 2021

1. Align Content for Search

Search intent (also called “user intent”) is the purpose of every online search query. It is a person’s thought of how to receive the information he/she needs by conducting a browser search. By learning how to align your content with the users’ intention, the more Google will recognize your blog/website as the best fit and eventually putting your page on the top of the search queries.

Based on a blog from Yoast, there are 4 types of search intent users usually conduct in order to get the results they need from the internet.

Information Intent

Many of the searches carried out by users on the internet are looking for information of some kind. Sports information, information about pension plans, information about SEO, etc. In these cases, users have a specific question or want to know more about a certain topic.

Navigational Intent

The second type of search intent is the browsing intent of the users. It is about those people whose intention is to access a specific web page. For example, those who search for Twitter often go to the Twitter page.

Transactional Intent

Third, we find the transactional search attempt. When a user searches the web for a product to purchase, consulting prices in search of his best option, it is said that he is focusing on a transactional search intention.

Commercial Investigation

Finally, we have the intention of commercial search, which differs from the transactional one in that the user does not seek to buy the product immediately but to investigate a product or service that could be interesting in the near future. Which TV looks the best,? What SEO strategy is right for me,? etc.

Over time, search engines like Google have become increasingly capable of accurately determining users’ search intent. If we add the fact that Google always seeks to classify the best-optimized pages that fit the search term, as well as the search intention of a specific search query, we have that our best asset to reach our target audience is to ensure that our posts and pages conform to the search intent of our audience.

2. Write an Attractive Title and Meta Description

The page title and meta description are the two most important meta tags on the page. Pages titles are clickable texts that pop up in search engine results and are very important from a web optimization perspective.

The meta description tag on the other hand is a small description of the content of the link that appears on the Google results page. In other words, the meta description tag is made up of a couple of phrases that should describe the content of the post or the page they accompany.

The meta description tag must follow a series of guidelines: first, it has to be eye-catching to capture the attention of potential readers. Likewise, it must contain the keywords of the post or page. These keywords should be in bold, and they should also match the user’s search criteria as closely as possible.

The length of the meta description tag that Google displays is 115 characters for mobile and 156 for PC. Ideally, it should not exceed 115 characters so that the description is complete in all formats.

3. Post Extended Content

In fact, search engines rank best on detailed expanded content. This research is supported by a number of studies, including the latest high-throughput paper research from SemRush.

A key study finding is that, compared to medium articles (901-1200 words), long articles (publications with more than 3,000 words) received a three-fold increase in traffic, a four-fold increase in share volume, and 3.5-fold increased backlinks.

4. Optimize your Images

Images play a vital role in enhancing your website visitor experience and SEO optimization. You will likely spend loads of time choosing the right photos to better your blog content, product sites, and various important areas on your website.

If used correctly, images will contribute to the overall SEO of your website and increase organic traffic. Website speed is an important ranking signal, and images typically contribute the most to overall page size. Therefore, you should optimize the image to increase speed in order to improve the overall performance of the website. Here are four ways to optimize images.

The most widely used image formats on the Internet are JPEG and PNG. Both formats use different compression methods, so the file size between them can be very different, according to Innotechnews. Viewing JPEG and PNG is the best image optimization practice. Using a tool for website image optimization that can help clear the background from your images can help optimize them, it would also be great if said tool can do this in a few seconds.

5. Build an SEO Friendly Landing Page

A very simple landing page may seem counterintuitive, but it eliminates visual clutter. You want your website visitors to focus on the prize – your call to action:

  • Use a custom URL: Make your links more readable. Custom links clearly set the tone and categorize content precisely.
  • Define your keywords: start by creating a list of keywords and corresponding topics that you think are of interest to your customers. These topics must be unique while being closely related to your business and your services.
  • Place your keywords strategically: The best method is to focus on one main keyword per page (never work on multiple pages) and work a secondary keyword phrase on each piece of that same content. Be careful, the goal here is not to find yourself competing with your own site on Google’s SERPs (SEO cannibalization phenomenon), so take the time to plan your topics.
  • Create backlinks: to constitute a good backlink, not only must the anchor of the link relate to the content of the target page, but also that the page issuing the link deals with a similar or identical topic.
  • Speed up your page: To optimize the loading time, you can work on the back-end and the front-end aspect of you. Note, however, that the front-end is the part that generates the most time nowadays.
  • Create shareable content: Embrace the fact that you write things that other people share. Make it cooler. Write it better. Put a spin on it. Hit a chord. Generate new research.

6. Keep the important Parts above the Fold

The term “above the fold” goes back to the newspaper. The most engaging stories were placed on the front page on the fold of the traditional newspaper so that customers would see the headlines and want to buy the newspaper.

You can do the same by keeping your landing page elements above the digital fold, the point where the user must scroll to get more information. This is harder than ever now that more people are using smartphones and tablets.

The good news is, you can use a scrolling map to easily pinpoint the average fold location on different devices and still keep your title, a short sentence or two of body text, and a front-and-center CTA.

7. Add Contact Information

You can provide contact information to your website visitors in many different ways. You can put your phone number or email address on your landing page, or you can use a contact form. Other companies, like Shopify, include links to their help centers.

Customers already know that they can find contact information, answers to frequently asked questions, and tutorials in the help centers.

8. Use Keywords for Content Optimization

Still, a large number of content writers, more than 50% of the publishers who use SEO Writing Assistant tools, do not fully understand the importance of having more than one keyword in their text. Optimizing your article for more than one keyword gives you the opportunity to appear in searches for more than one query.

The optimal number of target keywords that SWA recommended for use in articles is 15, according to the study. This tip is based on the top 10 ranking pages for specific keywords in a specific location.

Typically, we recommend including up to 20 different but relevant keywords per article. The important thing is that they are different to avoid keyword stuffing or keyword overload: the use of keywords in more than 3% of the text can become a Google penalty.

9. Be Consistent

While on-brand messaging is more important than ever, visual consistency can make a big difference in conversion rates too.

Let’s say you place a Facebook ad that leads people to your landing page. You want the text, images, and other aspects of your ads to be shown on your landing page.

They must look the same visually and provide the same services. Otherwise, your prospects will be lost or irritated.

10. Check for Plagiarism

Duplicate content is the greatest enemy of a strong and solid online presence. In some cases, it’s a necessity, but more often than not, it’s a manipulation of organic search results.

To avoid penalties from Google, the author should create unique content and always check the text for plagiarism or original text. In our research, 70% of the analyzed article authors use only a small part of duplicate content, which results in some citations or terms of reference.

Takeaway…

Technical SEO solves the issues that degrade your website’s organic exposure. It is essential to inspect the website for technical errors. You can perform a technical audit using SEO tools like SemRush, WooRank, and Ahrefs.

Here are the points you need to look out for when performing technical SEO:

  • Check mobile responsiveness and mobile-friendliness score.
  • Check out the sitemap.xml and robots.txt errors.
  • Determine crawling and indexing errors.
  • Inspect coverage issues under Google’s navigation console.
  • Check for server response errors such as 403 and 404.

Oppo Reno 6 5G

Design and Display

The Oppo Reno 6 5G design isn’t far fetched from what we had on Reno 5, however, Oppo made a tweak, that makes the design on this new Oppo smartphone look a bit more appreciable.

This year, Oppo made a move to opting for flat edges, in similar fashion to what we have on the iPhone 12.  This flat edges may just be the only substantial design change you will notice, along the colour options however, its seems to be big change in my opinion.

Speaking of color options, enthusiasts purchasing this smartphone will have three colour options that include Black, Blue and Aurora.

Taking a look at the rear of this device, you will notice a camera module four cameras and an LED flash, with a shap different from what we had on the previous version. There is also the Oppo branding, which indicates the OEM.

Upfront, we have basically the same setup from last year, however, the display here seems to be a bit curved.

What we have here on the front panel, we have a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a punch hole camera in the top left corner. The highlights of this display includes a resolution of 1080 x 2400, a density of approximately 409 PPI and a 90Hz refresh rate as opposed to 60Hz on the Reno 5 5G.

The Cameras

Putting forward the Oppo Reno 6 5G specs sheet, reveals we are dealing with the same camera hardware we had on the Reno 5 5G. However, we have three cameras, as opposed to four cameras on the Reno 5.

On the rear, we have a 64MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.7, a 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and an 8MP ultrawide camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and a 119˚ field of view. Video record with this system is capped at 1080 x 2400 pixels.

Moving upfront, we have a 32MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.4 a seen on the Reno 5. Video record on this camera is capped at 1080p@30fps.

Hardware and Software

Oppo made a shift from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor seen on last year model, to featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G processor on this device, we also have the Mali-G78 MC4 GPU, as opposed to the Adreno 620 GPU on last year model.

Moving on to the other facilitators, we have a options for either 8GB or 12GB RAM and options for either 128GB or 256GB built-in storage. We also have a non-removable 4300mAh Li-Po battery, supported by a 65W fast charge mechanism.

On the software side, we have the ColorOS 11.3 user interface running on the Android 11 operating system.

Connectivity

The Oppo Reno 6 5G features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, low-energy Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi.

Internet connectivity on here is capped at 5G, which means enthusiasts will be able to utilize 5G connectivity for downloads, streaming and uploads.

Oppo Reno 6 5G Price and Availability

The price of the Oppo Reno 6 5G, is expected to start around $439, which translates to about 181,106 Naira in Nigeria, 2,538 GHC in Ghana and 47,347 KSH in Kenya.

The Oppo Reno 6 5G was announced on May 27th 2021 and is expected to be released on sale on June 11th 2021.

Design and Display

Taking a glance at the design on the S97 Pro and comparing it to that of the S96 pro, sort of shows Doogee is playing a game of shapes.

Take, for instance, the circular camera model on the rear of the S96 Pro has been replaced with a square camera module, which you will find the Doogee logo beneath it, revealing its identity as a Doogee smartphone.

Upfront, we discover a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with a hole punch, as opposed to the drop notch on its predecessor. The highlight of this display includes a resolution of 720 x 1560 Pixels and a density of approximately 282 PPI.

There may be design tweaks that operate the Doogee S97 Pro from its predecessor, however, the main design system that has sort of becoming dominant in the series remains the same.

We are once again been offered a smartphone with a rugged chassis designed for touch conditions. This means we do not necessarily have to bother about damage due to fall, water, or dust, provisions were made for these likely events.

The Cameras

Having capable cameras, can be marked as one of the features that isn’t really looked out for when in the market for a rugged smartphone, however, doogee has managed to pack a set of capable cameras in the Dooge S97 Pro.

The rear setup on the Android phone, includes a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 5MP depth camera. While upfront, we have a single 16MP sitting in te punch hole camera on the display.

Infinix Note 10 Series

The latest smartphone in the product line of the Note series, the Infinix Note 10, is a device that was built to ‘Meet Beauty with Strength’. The elements of the new Note 10 are Speed, Beauty, Power, and Strength.

The beautiful screen, the bodywork, and the overall design of the device, plus the strength of its processor all come together to provide an extraordinary experience for users. Infinix has gone a step further to bring upgraded and improved features to the new Note 10, while still maintaining affordable pricing for consumers.

The Infinix Note 10 Pro won the IF design award 2021

The Infinix Note 10 Pro won the IF design award 2021 for its iconic design and flattering colour variants. The brilliant bodywork was followed with this remark by IF World design Guide, “This generation has a single appearance but two different battery cover designs. One is full of symmetrical design aesthetics – “polygonal vertical grating” – while the other has more mysterious shimmering patterns and texture.”

According to Unbox Therapy,

“… if entertainment is one of your priorities and you need a budget smartphone the Infinix Note 10 Pro looks like it’s up to the task. The Infinix Note 10 Pro will certainly satisfy with its whopper of a 6.95inch IPS display. It is definitely one for those who want their smartphone to be as big as humanly possible.”

And the Tech Chap, a UK top tech YouTuber, further confirmed the screen size by saying,

“I really love just how big the screen is. We’ve got nice thin bezels around the edges; we’ve got the hole punch selfie at the top. As I said, 6.95 inches – if you are watching movies or playing games, this is going to give you a really immersive experience.”

A Global Tech Review on the New Infinix Note 10

Another UK tech reviewer, Tech Spurt said,

“The batteries are integrated with ultra power saving mode so you can get an extra 58 hours of call time even when the battery is at 5% capacity”.

Another tech reviewer, the Tech Chap also said,

“We do also have that fast 33W charger, which actually charges up 50 minutes faster than the previous generation of this phone – a nice upgrade there.”

Infinix Note 10 Pro Review

In the words of a British tech reviewer, SuperSarf,

“A 90hz refresh rate at this price, that’s just insane. It’s going to make everything very smooth. You will be very surprised to learn that this will be retailing for $259. I think you will be pretty impressed with what this offers for that price.”

Just in case you were wondering if the Note 10 is a good buy for your money, there you have it from the tech gurus themselves. So, if you had doubts about what the Note 10 had to offer, be rest assured you’re in good hands.

Confirming every feature that the device is claimed to have, media houses have described the Note 10 smartphone as a value-for-money device that offers high-end features such as impressive entertainment experiences, long-lasting battery, and high-performance processing power.

“Their 6.95” displays (FHD+, 1080×2460) should make any visual application extremely agreeable to use. The panels are based on IPS LCD technology, which typically does quite well in color gamut and maximum brightness (480 NITs).”

– Hubert Nguyen, Ubergizmo

“With the new 33W X-Charge a 0-100% charge takes 50 minutes less than it did on the previous Note model. A quick 5-minute top-up is enough for 2 hours of gaming.”

– Peter Bonov, GSMArena

Infinix Note 10 and Note 10 Pro are now available

Meanwhile, the Note 10 online launch was brimming with thrill and excitement around the main features of the Note 10 – speed, beauty, power, strength – as the functionalities of the new smartphone were tested live.

3 Ways to Help your Small Online Business Make More Money

Make Plenty of Money

Make Plenty of Money

When it comes to business, many are striving for the same thing: finding more valued customers leading to more money coming in the door. There are plenty of ways to improve small businesses across the board, and some will affect your bottom line for the positive.

Sometimes you need to put yourself in the place of your customers and look at your business from their point of view. This is not always easy to do, and maybe getting a third party involved could be the answer.

There are companies that offer services and do user experience audits which you may find useful when looking at things like your website. However, if you want to get a quick start on helping your business, try the following three methods.

1. Look into your productivity

You may be able to save some time and make your products more cost-effectively by looking at your scheduling. There is software available, for instance, Gantt charts, within which you can do this. By loading your production procedures into this software and the different stages of work, you can see at a glance how long a job is going to take to complete.

This is great for seeing where any issues and hold-ups happen along the line of production so these can be addressed. It will also give you a heads up on when your product will be ready for your customer so you can schedule delivery properly.

Being able to have products ready on time is a real bonus for any company and reduces any penalty fees for late deliveries or even adds bonuses for early ones.

2. Saving on Overheads

All businesses have overheads, but it is not always good to buy the cheapest, as in some cases the quality of service can also drop. However, if buying a little more of something in bulk reduces the price per item, it makes sense to take advantage of this and just order the items a little less regularly instead.

The other saving to be had is in utility bills. Switching utility suppliers can be a time-consuming process, but using a specialist site such as Utility Bidder could save you money as well as time.

3. Use Free Advertising with Good ROI

Never underestimate the usefulness of free advertising methods. If used properly for business, social media, for instance, can drive consumer traffic to your website as well as make your business known to a wider spectrum of people.

Keep all information up-to-date with regular updates and blogs. You can also use your profiles for advertising but don’t overdo it, as your blogs will end up just being scrolled over and not read.

Keep your blogs friendly, and make sure that there are links within to take readers back to your website. Also, make sure to create blogs for your website too so that readers can continue reading, and it may entice them to visit your website more often for regular updates.

With more traffic going to your website and more links to the products or services which you are selling, you should be able to up your customer base and increase your bottom line.

Tecno Camon 17 Pro: A Creative Nod to the Selfie and the Selfie Culture

Tecno Camon 17 Pro Review

A few weeks back, TECNO launched the Tecno Camon 17 Pro smartphone, focusing on the selfie with a 48MP AI selfie camera and 90 Hz super-high refreshing rate at 6.8-inch FHD Screen. The brand showed sincerity in understanding their consumers’ needs, seeing as the pandemic era amplified people’s need for documenting personal memories.

It really is no surprise that the social phenomenon of selfies has gained momentum and has become central to how people express themselves and keep in touch with the world. Personally, I have taken more pictures, recorded more videos this past year than I have in years.

I guess that is why TECNO’s Camon 17 Pro stood out to me. It seemed to me like they were the first brand to put this behavioural shift into focus and offer a solution backed by the brand’s usual innovation and sweet price range.

So, today, I am going to be sharing the things I love about the Camon 17 Pro.

1. 48MP AI Selfie Camera

48MP Camera on the Camon 17 Pro

Like I already stated. The selfie camera of the Camon 17 Pro is one of the highlights of the phone. The 48 MP selfie camera captures the beautiful details in an elegant way even adding a professional finish.

The embedded artificial intelligence (AI) technology’s algorithms elevate the pictures by identifying features based on gender. The algorithms also adjust the surrounding light to make me the focal point of the shot.

The wide selection tools helped me personalize the images just as I wanted them portrayed. I was able to conceal blemishes on my face. There is also a tool that helped hide the dark circles around my face.

2. Camera LAB – The TAIVOS™ Imaging Laboratory

The TECNO CAMON 17 Pro comes with trademarked TAIVOS technology. TAIVOS, which stands for TECNO AI Vision Optimization Solution provides users with an unprecedented visual experience, especially in low-light environments.

TAIVOS filtered out the image noise of my pictures quite nicely and optimized the images’ clarity. The end result of that were photos with enhanced night photography effects.

Night Photography with Camon 17 Pro

One of my favourite things about TECNO’s TAIVOS™ is how it lets in more light and optimizes details against a low-light background, adding clarity to the photos. The camera literally found light for my pictures despite how dark the night was. The super night mode of the device delivered impressively.

Apparently, TECNO has carried out much research to incorporate better technology on the Camon 17 Pro. And it shows in how grand the camera solutions are on the device.

Of course, the camera features of the Camon 17 Pro aren’t all there is about the device. Here are some of the other features that ticks the boxes for me.

3. Elegant Appearance with both Aesthetics and Functionality

Camon 17 Pro Box

The 6.8-inch 1080 x 2460 FHD display of the Camon 17 Pro provides incomparable clarity and is a feast for the eyes. Every edge feels sharper and every colour is brighter.

These worked together to get me truly immersed in the high-definition video and intense games.  The 90 Hz super-high refreshing rate offered me a smooth, snappy and refreshing experience.

It is obvious that the appearance of the device was constructed with ample consideration of both practicality and aesthetics. TECNO made use of light and shadow, as well as accurately crafted nanoscale textures. I should also state how the optical coating incorporated makes the device fingerprint resistant.

The device comes in distinct California dream silver and Malibu blue colours. Its ergonomic design for easy hold, slim body and adjusted edges gives it a great look.

4. Long Lasting Battery and Peak Performance

Playing Games on the Camon 17 Pro

Camon 17 Pro offers users the performance they deserve. Animations are smoother, games are more immersive, and networking is faster.

The Media Helio G95 Processor contains an 8-core CPU with Hyper Engine game optimization, making it TECNO’s fastest chip yet, and at the same time still providing exceptional performance. Network optimization with the prediction engine allows for WIFI/LTE concurrence so my connection remained uninterrupted while gaming.

With an enormous 5000mAh battery you do not have to worry about your phone dying during crucial moments. Furthermore, the TECNO CAMON 17 Pro comes with fast charging so, the TECNO CAMON 17 Pro will be ready to leave when you are.

5. User Focused OS 7.6 System

I specifically like how TECNO prioritised privacy with the Camon 17 Pro. The device allows users to use fingerprints to lock apps away and keep data as secure as possible. The phone also comes with a privacy film that ensures only the user looking directly at the screen can see what is being shown.

It’s One-click blockbuster feature allows the users to pick from professional templates to create dynamic and exciting albums to be played back for friends and family. The device makes sharing precious and fun moments a lot easier.

The Camon 17 Pro sells for N125,000 and is available in authorized stores nationwide. Good thing about buying the Camon 17 Pro as soon as you can is that you will be given the TECNO Buds 1 for free.

Here’s what you will be getting from the buds;

Tecno Buds 1

Smooth Connectivity

I went through a seamless process of pairing the TECNO buds 1 to the Camon 17 Pro over a Bluetooth v5.0 connection. With your phone’s Bluetooth on, the earbuds are automatically seen and asks that you pair both devices.

Connecting Tecno Buds 1

Wireless Stereo Sound and Deep Bass

The TECNO Buds 1 has a deep bass effect that locks out noise and allows you enjoy every single sound be it music or movie.

Using a Smartphone

Easy User Experience with the Smart Switching Function

Let me say first that the buds fit perfectly into the ears and wouldn’t fall out easily. I especially love that I didn’t have to bring out my phone each time I had to do basic things like answer phone calls, or move a song to the next one. All I had to do was tap the touch sensitive buttons on the buds.

Photo

Battery

The TECNO Buds 1 comes with an interesting battery capacity. Each earbud has a 40mAh battery capacity that lasts over 4 hours. The charging case itself is 300mAh and delivers over 12 hours of charge to the earbuds.

Umidigi Bison 2021

Design and Display

The Umidigi Bison 2021 is basically a mirrored image of the first-gen Umidigi Bison. Both smartphones bear the same design. It’s very safe to say both smartphones are mirrored images of themselves.

Following the fact outlined in the above paragraph, enthusiasts who are familiar with the previous Bison should also expect the same tough chassis with the same design pattern.

Taking off with the elements in the design, we have a quad-camera system on the rear, with an LED flash. Below the module, is the Bison branding, which enthusiasts can use to tell it’s an Umidigi smartphone. You would also find sort of carved lines and colour caps that sends off a vibe that what we have isn’t a regular Android phone.

Flipping the device to get a frontal view, reveals a 6.3-inch display with a drop notch. The highlights of this display include a resolution of 1080 x 2340, a density of 409 PPI and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Speaking of protection, this smartphone rocks the IP68 and IP69k rating for water and dust resistance as seen on last year’s model. Umidigi claims the Bison 2021 can survive a fall from a height up to 1.5m and also survive being in up to 1.5m depth of water for up to 30 minutes.

The Cameras

The cameras are also a reminiscence of what we got on the Bison from 2019. This fact holds for both the front and rear setup.

On the rear camera setup of the Umidigi Bison 2021, we have a 48MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.79, a 16MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view, a 5MP depth camera, and a 5MP macro camera with a 2.5cm macro distance. Video record on this camera is capped at 1080p @ 30fps.

Moving up front, we have a single 24MP camera with an aperture of f/2.0, tucked into the drop notch on the display.

Hardware and Software

On the hardware side, we have yet another reminisce. The only difference here is that we have 8GB RAM on the Umidigi Bison 2021 and 6GB on its predecessor. The other specs are basically the same.

The other performance facilitators include a MediaTek Helio P60 processor, 128GB built-in storage (UFS 2.1), the ARM Mali G72 MP3 GPU, and a non-removable 5000mAh Li-Po battery paired with an 18W fast charge mechanism.

On the software side, we have Google’s stock user interface running on the Android 11 operating system.

Connectivity

The Umidigi Bison 2021 features a USB type-c port, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC support, and WiFi connectivity.

Internet connectivity is capped at 4G, which means enthusiasts won’t have access to 5G speed on this device.

Umidigi Bison 2021 Price and Availability

The price of the Umidigi Bison 2021 starts at around $300, which translates to about 123,600 Naira in Nigeria, 32,340 KSH in Kenya, and 1,734 GHC in Ghana.

The Umidigi Bison 2021 can be purchased from ALiExpress, as well as other leading online retail stores.

How to Buy a Used Car Without Getting Ripped Off in 2021?

How to Buy a Used

How to Buy a Used

Every day, people buy used cars for many different reasons. There are so many scams out there that allow dealers to take advantage of customers.

In order to avoid getting ripped off, it is necessary to be conscious of the tricks that dealers may use and know how to protect yourself from them.

This blog post will help you avoid falling prey to dealer tricks by providing detailed information on where you should look when purchasing a used car.

1. The first thing that you should look for is a Vehicle History Report:

Although it can be overwhelming to look up the history of almost every single used car on the market, it is one of the most important ways to protect yourself from fraud. By looking at the revs check report, you can spot potential signs of a former accident, major mechanical issues, and write-off details.

This information can be used to prevent being scammed by dealers during the purchase as it will help you know what kind of vehicle you are buying. Also, it is important to look at the report to evaluate whether the car you are about to buy is worth the price that they are asking.

2. Once you have looked up the history of the vehicle, you should check the title:

Title problems are the most common ways that people get ripped off, so being aware of them will help you prevent getting scammed during the purchase process. If there are any signs of failure such as major accidents, or lack of maintenance history on the title, this can be a red flag that indicates that the dealer may try to fleece you.

Not only does the bad title affect your purchase price, but it can also cause issues with financing and insurance down the line. To avoid getting scammed by a used car dealer, make sure to check for any issues with a car’s title.

3. When checking the vehicle, check for any signs of shoddy bodywork work:

The most common thing that dealers will do to a car to make it seem better is to cut costs on repairing damaged bodywork. To tell whether the vehicle was fixed in this way or not, look for any grease or wax in the affected areas.

If there is grease in a spot where it shouldn’t be, then there might be an issue with bodywork. On the other hand, if there is more than it should be, then this could signal that the vehicle was fixed in some way and would probably not be worth a lot.

4. Check for any major damage:

Another way that dealers might take advantage of customers is by selling cars with major damage. In most cases, this occurs because the car may have been in an accident and was repaired.

You can check for signs of major damage by looking at the frame of the vehicle or tires for cracks or punctures, as well as the body. You can also look at the engine compartment and see if there are any oil leaks that are leaking onto the engine.

5. Also, check for any rust on the frame:

A further way that dealers make cars more appealing is by repainting them in different colors. The problem with this is that the rust may still be on the frame, and a new paint job can’t cover it up.

Therefore, you should check the frame for any rust. If there is no rust evident, then that is a good sign. However, if there are visible signs of rust then it may be best to keep searching for a vehicle.

6. Do not pay before getting the used car:

This is one of the biggest pieces of advice in this article. When purchasing a used car or truck there are many different scams that dealers can try to pull on you. However, one of the most common is trying to get you to pay for the vehicle before doing any paperwork. As tempting as it may seem, it is important not to do this.

If you pay for the vehicle before the paperwork has been done, then there is still a chance that they could take your money and not give you the vehicle. We recommend that you pay for the vehicle at the end of the process. This way you have ensured that your money is safe and that you are getting a car that is in good working order.

Conclusion:

Buying a used car can be the perfect way to get an affordable, reliable and safe vehicle that you can own without having to worry about the hassle of owning a new car.

There are many different ways that dealers can try to take advantage of customers when purchasing a used vehicle. With some careful thinking and research, you will be able to spot these scams and protect yourself against them. If you keep these tips in mind when buying a used car or truck, then you will be less likely to be ripped off.

Design and Display

The Doogee S86 may bear a chassis design different from its predecessor and also series siblings, however, there is denial that there seems to be a theme being followed. This theme makes it possible to know it’s yet another rugged smartphone.

Scrutinizing its chassis design, we have a design theme that sort of screams its identity as a rugged smartphone, as there are pretty much no fragile-looking spots here, instead we have grippy points.

On the rear, we have a camera module housing four cameras and an LED flash. Far Beneath the camera module, is the Doogee branding, which pretty much indicates its a Doogee smartphone.

moving upfront, we have a 6.1-inch LCD with a drop notch, as the slightly smaller 5.99-inch display on its predecessor. However, we have got a lower resolution at 720 x 1560 Pixels, as opposed to 1080 x 2160 on the S80. This display also has a density of 282 PPI.

Much like the other rugged smartphones, the Doogee S86 bears gorilla glass on its display, which is a protective measure, that reduces drop impact. We also have reinforced edges to help reduce shock impacts from drops.

Still, on protective measures, we have the IP68 and IP69k rating for water and dust resistance, alongside the MIL-STD-810G rating, which is a military rating that shows this device can survive tough terrain.

The Cameras

Looking at the cameras on the Doogee S86, we discover Doogee did makes a move at improving the camera hardware on the S80.

Beginning with the rear camera setup, we have a triple camera, as opposed to dual cameras on its predecessor.

The rear cameras include a 16MP primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0, an 8MP ultrawide camera with and an aperture of f/2.2, and a 130° field of view. Lastly, we have a 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.2.

Hardware and Software

On the performance side, the MediaTek Helio P60 processor replaces the Helio P23 processor on the S80, which means we should be expecting improved performance on the Doogee S86.

Also on board, is the ARM Mali-G72, 6GB RAM, 128GB built-in storage (UFS 2.1), and a non-removable 8500mAh battery.

On the software side, we have got stock Android user interface running on the Android 10 operating system.
