My computer couldn’t booted up fast and but it would take a long time to Hibernate or shutdown. I later realizes that having many processes running in the background was causing my system to take longer to shut down than usual. If your computer is exhibiting the same kind of issues, taking much longer than normal to boot up and shutdown, it might be the cause of the large number of start-up processes that you have enabled.

To manage start-up processes you have to make use of Microsoft system configuration tool. It’s built into the Windows operating system and it’s pretty cool. It gives you a pretty good level of control over the background services, start-up services, the boot sector priorities and more. To get into the system configuration settings, you just have to type msconfig in the windows search option. Select msconfig.exe from the search results.

Once the system configuration window has been opened up, United navigate to the start-up tab. There, you might be prompted to open the task manager to give a detailed list of the services enabled at start-up. Some services might be natively listed in the system configuration window itself. All you need to do is call tick the options that are from unknown publishers or manufacturers and change the status from enabled to disabled. This will prevent all services from starting up execution in the memory right when the OS starts to boot up. There is even a Start-up impact indicator on the far right which indicates how much the particular service impacts the start-up speed. This shows the start-up impact of the services high or medium.

Once that is done, you can click on the application and then followed by the OK button of the system configuration window. You will be prompted to restart your system for changes to take effects. Get choose to restart now or to restart after you have finished the work that you were doing right now.

Once the system has been restarted, it should not take a very long time to boot up or shutdown anymore because those unnecessarily heavy background services are now shut down.

Revealed at CES 2018, the Razer Blade Stealth dubbed ‘Project Linda’ is an innovative laptop still in the works. This is more of a marriage between two Razer products, a laptop and a phone, with the latter serving as touchpad for former.

Design and Display

If you saw the current Razer Blade Stealth in the market, you already have an idea of how this one looks. You can expect the laptop to feature similar solid build. The current uses CNC aluminium in its construction.

The main talking point on the new Razer Blade Stealth is how it is intended to use the Razer Phone as touchpad. It doesn’t offer regular touchpad you see on laptops. You get a large empty dock instead. Users only need to drop the 5.7-inch device into this space and it sits flush.

Razer says the phone will also serve as a second display. The Blade Stealth’s screen size is still 13.3 inch with Quad HD resolution. Both devices offer displays with high 120Hz refresh rate.

Performance

It doesn’t appear like the Razer Blade Stealth prototype will offer comparable performance to the existing offering. You are essentially getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon powered laptop here.

The Razer Phone features Snapdragon 835 chipset and it is what controls the laptop. This means this Blade Stealth will fall into the same category as the new Lenovo Miix 630.

Its operating system is also that of the phone: Android. Sentio, a company known for producing laptop docks for mobile devices, customised the desktop for a more ‘notebook-ish’ feel.

Other Features

Connectivity features on the Razer Blade Stealth include a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is also plan to include a video output port. It offers 200GB external storage.

A 53.6Wh battery was in charge of power supply on the prototype. This also tops up the Razor Phone that serves as touchpad.

Alcatel has been busy with its almost confusing 3-series comprising of four smartphones including Alcatel 3, 3C, 3V and 3X. All of these are mid-range and features the new Alcatel face unlock technology. This is not the only thing they have in common has you can also find that premium 18:9 aspect ratio. However, it seems to be relatively inferior to the others spec wise especially in display section.

Design and Display

To be candid, the Alcatel 3 will not wow you in any way and it pretty much looks like an average smartphone. It has round edges and a somewhat bloated look with the camera, flash and fingerprint arranged vertically from up to down in that order followed by Alcatel inscribed at the back.

You would find just enough battery capacity to last a day in the Alcatel 3 provided usage is kept minimal or not too intensive. This is because you only have a 3, 000mAh battery which might not get through the daily mile in intensive use. Sadly, the smartphone charges using a MicroUSB port, not a Type-C port and does not have the fast charge feature either.

One of the things people do with their smartphones besides surfing the net and social media will be taking pictures or recording videos. The Alcatel 3 has this taken care of with a 13MP rear camera capable of recording 1080p Videos and a 5MP front camera that is also used to face unlock.

The HTC Desire 12 is a true definition of a refined sleek smartphone with almost bezel-less display and the widely used 18:9 aspect ratio. While this is attractive enough, it is also simplistic in its approach when it comes to design. There bezels at the top and bottom have been trimmed to create more space for the display.

Unlike the other smartphone, the HTC Desire 12 Plus comes with a dual camera arrangement on the rear eid and a single one at the front. The Oppo A71 (2018) is very similar to its predecessor regarding how it looks but defers entirely on the inside. Oppo is a Chinese smartphone maker and one of the biggest when it comes to the business at the moment. You might or might not have heard of them but their smartphones speak for itself. Here’s the fact: It can be quite demanding purchasing a new smartphone, especially as prices increase beyond $1,000. However, the good thing is that you don’t necessarily need to spend that amount, you just need to know exactly what to look for before making a purchase.

Furthermore, with so many different brands, apps, prices, and features making up the smartphone market today, it can be very easy to end up buying a cell phone that doesn’t accurately serve your needs. However, with our cell phones playing a significant part in our lives, investing in a new and good one is not something to take lightly.

The factors that are used to judge battery life differs and it’s worth being aware them.

For instance, you should already know that screens with a higher resolution take up more energy, while the newest processors improve (optimize) battery life. Then there’s quick charging technology and Doze mode.

However, instead of just looking at tech specifications, the best thing is to always check out reviews and benchmark results in the market to find out how all these factors work when combines in a single device. At the moment, however, 3,000 mAh seems to be the standard, even though there are devices with over 4,000 mAh.

Basic computer literacy is a must for online learning. You should be able to handle all your files, study resources, and assignments digitally. It might not be possible every time for the students to go online and excess the study materials. 5. Extensive coordination is required in e-learning

Sometimes topics demand face-to-face discussions and interactions. It might not always be possible that the pre-recorded instructions of an online course are clear enough for every student such as in case of essay assignment help. Students who face difficulties in such a scenario may have to send the queries additionally to the instructors and then have to wait for them to understand the query and answer appropriately. Students may find it hard to communicate with each other as well. If the students are required to work in groups, coordinating with everybody online might not appear as easy as working together in college classrooms.

6. Everything cannot be taught on the internet

Not all degrees can be transformed into online courses. Subjects which require lab experiments and hands-on experience might not be taught as efficiently to the students via an online course. However, there are possibilities for simulating a laboratory on the internet but it may not happen in every case. Another possibility is the introduction of the concept of hybrid learning. In hybrid learning, students get to experience the best of both the worlds as students spend some time in online learning and the remaining time in the traditional classroom learning.

7. The complex structure of the course

The course structure plays a crucial role in the success of an online course. Unclear instructions, less interactive elements and complex navigation of the course me result in lost interest of the students. Students might find it difficult to get engaged in such a course that includes a continuous reading of the text from a document and a content that has no real-life applications to show. Hence, the content providers should focus on creating online courses that have well-defined structures and cover all the aspects of e-Learning such as interactive elements, assessments exercises, feedback facilities, live chat features and clear instructions.

In the end, yes there are certain challenges that students might have to deal with while learning online. But a change in attitude, expectations and a little technical knowledge can help them achieve an online degree or certification. Infinix is a known smartphone brand in this part of the world, the Chinese OEM has quite a number of mid-range to low budget smartphones under its name already. Amongst the latest addition to this portfolio is the Infinix Hot S3, a smartphone designed to fit in the trendy list of mid-range smartphones in the market at the moment. The smartphone besides having nice aesthetics also comes with a decent hardware. Infinix Hot S3 is the first smartphone from the company to offer Android 8 out of the box.

Design and Display

Adopting the premium smartphone facade which includes a large screen to body ratio (about 81%) acquired by a cut down on bezels around the screen. Also, the Infinix Hot S3 appears to have a solid build and nicely curved edges. Handling seems not to be a problem as the smartphone doesn’t weigh much at 150g.

The Infinix Hot S3 smartphone is equipped with a massive 20MP front camera with flash and a 13MP camera at the back also accompanied by a dual LED flash.

Hardware and Software

Talking about the hardware, which is part of the spec sheet that really reflects how fast and smooth performance will be. In this case, you have an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor running at 1.4GHz and a corresponding Adreno 505 GPU for graphics rendering.

In furtherance, there are two variants of the Infinix Hot S3 available, one having a 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. You could also expand the storage using a memory card and it runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo with XOS Hummingbird V3.0 UI skin.

Pricing and Availability

The Infinix Hot S3 is currently not available in Nigeria but has been launched in India. It costs about Rs 8, 999 (50, 000 Naira) for the 3GB variant and Rs 10 999 (61, 000 Naira) for the 4GB variant. You could however pre-order the Infinix Hot S3 at Slot and it will delivered in a few weeks time.
